Animoca Brands becomes a validator of The Open Network

The TON Foundation announced that venture capital firm and Web3 game developer Animoca Brands has joined the validator network of The Open Network, also known as the TON Blockchain. 

The alliance between Animoca Brands and the TON Foundation aims to promote the development and innovation of The Open Network's blockchain network and ecosystem. 

Animoca Brands stated that it will provide the TON ecosystem with financial and technical resources to support its growth and development. In addition, the company has created an analytics dashboard to facilitate the monitoring of metrics from third-party mini-applications running on this blockchain and that expose its growth and expansion. 

Justin Hyun, Chief Growth Officer of TON Foundation, highlighted that this comprehensive collaboration reflects the shared vision of both parties, Promote and diversify the adoption of blockchain in the gaming sector, as well as moving into the next era of Web3 gaming. 

Animoca Brands is one of the leaders in the blockchain industry, promoting digital property rights for gaming and the open metaverse. Now, thanks to this collaboration, it has become the largest validator of the TON Blockchain. 

Animoca Brands supports the development of TON Play

In a publication Shared on its blog this week, Animoca Brands highlighted that it has not only become the largest validator on The Open Network, but is also supporting the development of the TON Play gaming infrastructure, based on the TON network, to allow game developers to launch their blockchain-based projects directly on Telegram. 

Through TON Play, game developers will also be able to port any existing digital game directly to Telegram, using a web application.

In the publication, Animoca Brands highlighted that Manuel Stotz, from Kingsway Capital, played a key role as facilitator of the strategic alliance it signed with the TON Foundation. 

On the other hand, although the total amount of investment made in The Open Network is unknown, the Web3 company emphasized that this investment was based on rigorous research, which was carried out to evaluate the potential of the TON blockchain as an infrastructure for the future of gaming and to accelerate the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies.

The research yielded several documents highlighting the advantages and potential of the TON blockchain. Mainly, the ease of use of TON-based decentralized applications (BApps) and the inherent scalability of the blockchain were highlighted as key factors for the growth of the crypto community. 

In addition, the competitive advantages that TON Blockchain offers compared to other blockchain networks, such as speed, security, interoperability and governance, were also evaluated.
