Zhejiang, the next province of the Metaverse in China

📍‌Zhejiang province has unveiled a plan to build a virtual hub and become the next Metaverse province in Asia. Just days after the South Korean nation revealed its plans to strengthen diplomatic relations with Vietnam through the metaverse, the Chinese province of Zhejiang announced that it will build a metaverse center on its territory, made up of companies dedicated to various technologies related to the virtual world, such as Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence and blockchain technology, among others. 

According to plans, the Zhejiang metaverse hub will be one of the largest in the world and will be operational by 2025. Through this metaverse hub, the Chinese province will promote the creation of a $28.700 billion metaverse industry that will foster the construction of a responsible and healthy environment for the development of new companies in the sector. 

Some of the areas that Zhejiang province will explore through the Metaverse are medicine, administration, e-commerce and industrial production, according to reported the South China Morning Post. 

In China, other provinces such as Shanghai, Hangzhou and Wuhan have announced their plans for the development of the Metaverse, despite warnings issued by some authorities in the country citing the potential risks of the virtual environment. 

The Metaverse opens up new opportunities for online dating

📍‌A survey conducted by Dating indicates that the Metaverse will be a trend in dating next year. According to the survey results, one-third of single people rely on the Metaverse to find a partner. The company, part of Dating Group, notes that technology, in addition to impacting the financial system, is helping people build new connections and interactions. 

The Metaverse has been one of the biggest trends of this year, used by social media companies, fashion brands, entertainment and more to reach out to new internet-native generations, connect with a larger audience and boost their products or business models. Now, in the world of dating, the Metaverse will take on a new role, according to Dating. 

Un 33% of people surveyed by the dating company are considering taking advantage of the opportunities of the virtual world to connect with new people and foster interaction. This group of people plan to use avatars to meet others in the Metaverse before arranging a face-to-face meeting, the company said. 

Sango Coin coming in 2023

📍‌Central African Republic's cryptocurrency project Sango Coin is set to launch in early 2023. The launch and listing of Sango Coin, part of the Central African Republic's project to attract cryptocurrency investors to the country, is scheduled for the first quarter of next year. 

In a statement, the government of the republic cited current market conditions as the reason for postponing the launch of its national cryptocurrency. In July this year, the Central African Republic had reported on its plans to use Blockchain for tokenization of precious metals and the launch of the Sango cryptocurrency. 

Both plans are part of the goals of the African country, the second in the world to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, to attract foreign capital and boost the construction of its digital future. 

Aston Martin comes to NFTs and Web3

📍‌British car manufacturer Aston Martin is entering the world of NFTs. The luxury car company has launched its first collection of non-fungible tokens or NFTs in collaboration with the Tiny Digital Factory project, using the Polygon Network.

In total, Aston Martin will release 3.000 limited-edition NFTs inspired by its Vantage V8, GT3 and 8 Vantage V1980 cars. Each of the NFTs the company will release will allow owners to participate in the digital game Infinite Drive to earn rewards. The Aston Martin NFTs will be available through the Magic Eden NFT marketplace, which launched on Polygon Network late last month.
