Tencent partners with Ankr and other blockchain companies to accelerate Web3 development

Tencent’s cloud services company Tencent Cloud has announced a series of collaborations with blockchain industry companies, such as Ankr, to accelerate the development and adoption of Web3. 

Tencent Cloud announced its support for the Web3 ecosystem during the first edition of Web3 Global Summit, an event organized by the company to bring together leaders, innovators, accelerators and experts in emerging technologies to explore the advantages and opportunities of Web3. 

During the event, the cloud services division of the Chinese multinational technology company reported on several collaboration agreements with companies in the blockchain industry. These agreements will allow the development of New tools and services to open the doors to the new era of the Internet

Tencent Cloud International Senior Vice President Poshu Yeung said the company will actively support the development of Web3 and contribute sustainably to the growth of its community. 

Tencent Cloud will also provide strong technical support for Web3 developers, Yeung said, so they can take advantage of the company's years of experience, expertise, infrastructure and tools. 

Tencent Cloud's new blockchain/web3 partners

Amongst the Tencent Cloud's new blockchain partners There is the Web3 infrastructure provider, Ankr, with which Tencent will develop a network of nodes to support the construction of decentralized projects and applicationsAccording to Tencent, together with Ankr “it will create a series of blockchain API services to provide high-performance, globally distributed and decentralized blockchain remote procedure call (RPC).

Tencent will also collaborate with blockchain projects such as Avalanche, Scroll and Sui to create high-end solutions that meet the needs of its customers and help expand Web3. 

The Chinese technology multinational is considering the development of Blockchain solutions for enterprise customers in traditional industries alongside Avalanche. In addition, it plans to strengthen the creation of an open-source EVM-compatible zk-Rollup alongside Scroll, as well as Building new tools for high-performance game development in the cloud and on-chain with the layer 1 blockchain project, Sui. 

In addition to its recent partnerships, Tencent Cloud also announced the launch of a new solution focused on Web3 and the Metaverse. Called “Tencent Cloud Metaverse-in-a-Box”The new solution was described by the company as a tool that integrates “a wide range of infrastructure, high-performance products, ready-to-use SDKs and low-code solutions that can be widely used in gaming and multimedia entertainment, as well as clients in traditional industries and Web3 fields.”

New opportunities for the crypto industry in China?

Since Hong Kong unveiled plans to create new regulations that would open up the cryptocurrency market to retail investors this year, China's stance against the crypto industry appears to have begun to ease. Just this week, Bloomberg analysts reported on the Beijing's possible backing of Hong Kong's regulatory plans to become a global crypto financial and innovation hub.

In light of these plans, several analysts are considering the possibility that the Asian giant will relax its attitude towards the crypto industry and Web3, so as not to miss out on what could be the next wave of technological innovation.
