Blockchain, the driving force behind the transformation of the business world

Alastria is a non-profit association that promotes the digital economy through the development and implementation of new decentralized registration technologies, such as Blockchain. Through this technology, the entity points out that start-ups, large companies, investors, and other participants in the banking and insurance sector will be able to connect in a unique way, creating and fostering a development environment that promotes digital and technological transformation and innovation.

The incubation and acceleration program promoted by these entities is available to companies in Spain and around the world that develop innovative ideas, projects and solutions that seek to reveal the true value that blockchain technology has for the future of finance. In the agreement signed at the end of December, F10 explained that, of its previous acceleration programs, nearly 50% of the financed companies are based on blockchain, as this technology has great disruptive potential for “promoting innovation as a driving force for transformation in the business world”

January 19th, deadline for F10 registrations

The F10 acceleration program will be open until tomorrow, January 19, at 12 CTE, as explained in the press release. The incubator company also explains that the start-up that wins the current program will receive as a prize direct access to the company's final selection round, to participate in the incubation program promoted by F10 for March of this year.

This second acceleration program for 2021 will last 6 months; a period in which participants will be able to enjoy the support of mentors and specialists, 'mentoring', to facilitate the transformation of your prototype or initial project into a completely viable and scalable one, which generates traction and secures the necessary financing to successfully reach the markets.

The general director of Alastria, Montse Guard, highlighted that the alliance promoted by both entities will allow them to support the constant talent that is being developed around blockchain technology.

“F10 is a great ally for Alastria, allowing us to open new spaces for innovation and excellent development opportunities for startups and projects that may emerge from the universities in our ecosystem.”

“Green and sustainable” technological development

According to Guardia, the joint work carried out by F10 and Alastria allows start-ups based on new technologies to have greater possibilities of growing their offer, in addition to increasing their chances of connecting with corporate partners and gaining investment that ensures their future success. Finally, the entities pointed out that the innovative ideas of the start-ups will be mainly oriented towards the development of technological products and services in line with the objectives of the European Commission and the United Nations. In addition, these ideas and projects will allow the delivery of financial models that contribute to promoting a green and sustainable society.

The jury that will be present to evaluate the submitted projects and select the winning start-up will be made up of prominent members and representatives of the United Nations, as well as representatives of the European Commission, the business and technology world, and other renowned experts in blockchain, banking and finance.
