Pepsi Generative NFTs
Instead of designing the NFTs directly, Pepsi opted to use an algorithm to randomly generate each token. With this, the company guarantees that each token given to its users will be completely unique and different. Each of the generative NFTs in the collection Pepsi Mic Drop will be created using nearly 50 unique attributes across 6 categories including microphones, stages, props, and more.
With this collection, Pepsi wants to pay tribute to the history of its iconic brand, which has had a great projection and trajectory within the music industry, through numerous artists and celebrities such as Madonna, Shakira, Christina Aguilera and Michael Jackson, among others.
The NFTs in the collection will also revive the suite of flavors of the popular Pepsi drink, which has captivated cola-loving consumers for decades, the company explained. These iconic flavors include the classic blue Pepsi, silver Diet Pepsi, red Pepsi Wild Cherry, black Pepsi Zero Sugar, and even Crystal Pepsi, which is a fan favorite.
New Pepsi World
For Pepsi, the combination of a broad set of attributes with the most original Pepsi flavors loved by its customers and fans will create a mic drop of epic proportions, as a tribute to his love for pop stars and musical legends. In addition to this, Todd Kaplan, Pepsi's vice president of marketing, hinted that the company will soon surprise its fans with news within the NFT world, pointing out that the collection Pepsi Mic Drop “sets the stage for what’s to come in the world of Pepsi NFTs.”
Kaplan also highlighted that launching and giving away generative NFTs about his brand is a sign of his interest in being at the forefront of new trends, to satisfy the needs of his clients and fans and share with them an experience in the exciting world of blockchain and non-fungible tokens.
NFTs have become a global trend that is capturing the interest of new companies and industries every day. In July, Coca-Cola announced the launch of its first NFT collection to raise funds for its partner Special Olympics International, in celebration of International Friendship Day. The McDonald's franchise in China also gave away NFTs to its customers and consumers to celebrate its 31st anniversary last October.
