Gerard Piqué has long been interested in the crypto world, as he was one of the Sorare's first investors.
Sorare is a blockchain-based fantasy football game. It is a game in which players create their own football team using player cards. Each of these cards is an NFT, so they have their own characteristics and abilities.
These cards are tokens Ethereum ERC-721, which means that each one of them is unique and verified, which means that the player owns it so they can do whatever they want with it, from using it for their team to selling it for fiat money.
One of the main characteristics of Sorare cards is that they are limited. In this sense, there are four types of scarcity: Common, Rare, Super Rare and Unique. The higher the rarity, the better the stats, which translates into greater benefits for the user.
