Blankos Block Party, the first NFT game on the Epic Games Store

American developer Epic Games Store, the company behind Fortnite, announced on September 15 the official launch on its Game Store of its first NFT game included in the Marketplace of this platform: Blankos Block Party.

The beta version of this NFT game was launched in 2020 by Mythical Games. This version already has more than a million players, according to its developers. This shooter is especially interesting for participants, as it features unique NFT characters and accessories, which can also be exchanged in the in-game store.

In order to play It is currently possible to download its "early access" version for free, which will be available until September 28, when the first season of the game is scheduled to be released in full, including visual and navigation improvements.

Unlike most NFT games, you don't need to connect an external wallet to play this game, nor to buy or sell NFTs, because the game allows you to do so internally. Uphold accounts are also supported.

Developer Epic Games has explained that Blankos Block Party runs on the private EOSIO-based blockchain, now called Antelope, meaning no mining is required to integrate or create NFTs on the Marketplace.

Epic Games is one of the companies that has taken a more favorable stance on NFT and metaverse games, having even announced a two billion dollar fund for the construction of a metaverse since April.

Blankos Block Party is also likely not the last NFT game to be released on the Epic Games Store, as the studio is partnering with Web3 gaming company Gala Games, which is working hard to release an NFT shooter in the near future.
