Arts and entertainment company Orange Comet, specializing in minting and promoting NFTs, announced their partnership on August 17 with Anthony Hopkins, the popular Hollywood actor, for the launch of an NFT collection based on his career.

Hopkins will launch with Orange Comet the first batch of its NFT series called “The Eternal Collection”. This lot will last three days and during this time collectors will have access to more than 1000 exclusive images of the actor that will be based on the different facets of the artist during his career.

A unique collection of NFTs for Anthony Hopkins fans

This collection is being created to allow followers, fans and collectors of the actor to appreciate the different facets that he has developed throughout his career on a visual level.

David Broome, CEO of Orange Comet, explains that it has been a challenge, as well as a great opportunity, to design a collection that reflects all the art created by Hopkins throughout his career. In addition, he notes that we are in a great moment to present this type of projects that encompass intellectual property, brands and art, with the great added value that comes from being able to bring Anthony Hopkins as a brand and as an artist to the world.

In this way, users who attend the first day of the auction will be able to personally meet the actor at the welcome ceremony and opening lunch and will also be able to get a Hopkins art book with the author's autograph.
Likewise, on the third day of the event, 1000 unique images of the artist will be auctioned and 39 autographed art books will be distributed randomly, which will include a very intimate version of his poems and works. Finally, five buyers will be chosen so that they can join a video call via Discord with Anthony Hopkins.

Zero Contact: Hopkins' NFT Movie

This is not the first time that the actor approaches the world of NFTs. In fact, his interest in creating an art collection around his film career increased after launching his film Zero Contact in the form of an NFT on Vuele, a Web3 creative studio platform through which it is possible to view and collect limited edition films and NFT content.

Hopkins contacted Snoop Dogg to ask him about NFTs before making his first purchases and in an interview for Yahoo Finance he explained that he sees NFTs as “a blank canvas that allows art to be created in a new format,” also highlighting that “NFTs “They allow us to share artistic inspiration with other people on a reciprocal basis, regardless of their age.” At this point he stated the following: “I am probably the oldest person in the NFT community and on social media, and this shows that it is possible to be present in this ecosystem at any age.”

The CEO of Orange Comet has also explained that the Hopkins NFT collection will be launched in mid-September on OpenSea and that it will feature 10 of Hopkins' most relevant characters, such as Odin from the Marvel movie “Thor” or Hannibal Lecter from “The Silence of the Lambs”.
