The ADA Pay plugin has been developed for implementation in large and medium-sized companies, allowing more than 7 million users to pay in ADA.
Coti, the protocol for payments on Cardano's blockchain, has announced the Completion of an ADA Pay plugin that will allow all types of businesses to implement ADA payments in their businesses, allowing Cardano's native token to reach many more people.
The plugin has been developed by Rodolfo Miranda, for implementation in Odoo (On Demand Open Object), an open source solution for business applications developed by Coti and with more than 7 million users.
“The implementation of this project could not be more agile. The ADA Pay API simplifies the development process. Not only is it well documented, but the COTI team was also quick to support us with all our questions and concerns. I really appreciate COTI’s professionalism and dedication,” explained Rodolfo Miranda, creator of the Odoo plugin.
This new plugin, designed for be implemented in payment gateways of all types of companies, could be the first step towards mass adoption of ADA, which would be a huge boost for the Cardano blockchain.
In Coti's blog post, it is noted that: “The ADA payments system for businesses, built on the Cardano blockchain, allows merchants to Accept ADA as a payment method with instant settlement".
This plugin falls within the “Project Catalyst”, an initiative created by Coti, in which several teams of developers have participated, and in which up to eight different plugins have been developed for implementation on platforms such as WordPress, Joomla and WooCommerce.
The launch has come at a time when the Cardano blockchain is approaching a New milestone in the number of smart contracts deployed. This is because, the Vasil update will implement various advantages and unique functionalities in the smart contracts of the platform that developers want to leverage for their decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.
Cardano Blockchain Insights notes that there are 2.900 smart contracts based on the network's own language, Plutus, putting it just 100 shy of the 3.000 milestone. This number could be surpassed when the Vasil hard fork be implemented on the Cardano mainnet.
