What are the 13 projects being built on Polygon CDK?

the 13 projects being built on Polygon CDK

Polygon Labs introduced its developer toolkit, Polygon CDK, less than two months ago and there are already 13 projects being built on it.

As one of the most innovative ecosystems in the blockchain industry, Polygon is attracting projects that want to build new blockchain solutions dedicated to solving real-world needs.

Using the permissionless and open source technology of Polygon CDK, Polygon is giving project developers the tools they need to “design and build ZK chains that reflect the spirit of any community”.

Polygon CDK is one of the most recent innovations in the Polygon ecosystem that allows the creation of new custom, independent and modular side chains or second layer (layer 2) powered by Zero Knowledge (ZK) technology, which is one of the most powerful testing technologies in the entire crypto industry.

The projects developed in Polygon CDK

Currently, 13 projects are being built on Polygon using this developer toolkit, ranging from NFTs and gaming to DeFi, payments, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

Games and NFTs on Polygon CDK

Starting with games and NFTs, Immutable is building Immutable zkEVM, an innovative blockchain equivalent to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which is designed to be interoperable, decentralized, secure and low-cost, optimal for Web3 games.

Likewise, aavegotchi is developing its own L2 network, called Gotchichain, to power its NFT gaming platform.

palm network is also building a new L2 chain powered by Polygon CDK, to optimize the minting, distribution and trading of NFT tokens, while Nexon builds a ZK solution on Polygon to power the digital economy of its MapleStory Universe gaming ecosystem.

More efficient and secure payment networks

In the payments sector, Gnosis Pay builds a payment network and a self-storage card with which it wants to become a cornerstone for developers in Polygon CDK.

Moreover, Wirex, which is a partner of Visa and Mastercard, is harnessing the potential of Polygon and blockchain technology to innovate payments with W-Pay.

A new generation of DeFi

Another 4 projects are focusing on building decentralized financial solutions through Polygon CDK.

In this sector there are CapX, which develops a new liquid secondary market for tokens; IDEX, which builds a Polygon-based L2 to offer a decentralized perpetual trading platform; Canto, which is migrating to Polygon to drive the development of decentralized finance and the tokenization of real-world assets; and Nubank, which uses Polygon CDK to power its own cryptocurrency Nucoin.

Driving the adoption of blockchain solutions

Lastly, Polygon CDK is being used by several projects that want to grow the blockchain ecosystem, accelerating its use and adoption.

Astar is an example of this. This project, considered a gateway to the Japanese market for international gaming and entertainment companies, is building the Astar zkEVM solution with the aim of accelerating the use and adoption of blockchain technology by global companies.

Similarly, Blanket Network is providing innovative capabilities and tools to developers for building efficient and cost-effective decentralized applications (DApps) through Polygon CDK, while Dogchain maintains focus on bringing blockchain applications to Dogecoin to strengthen its ecosystem and community.
