📍‌Arbitrum transactions halted for 7 hours due to hardware failure. The developers of the Arbitrum layer-two solution reported a failure in the network's main sequencer, which halted the blockchain for approximately 7 hours. According to the official statementArbitrum was unable to process transactions within the specified time due to a hardware failure on its masternode, which was caused by a software update. 

The developers partially restarted the Arbitrum sequencer to allow the chain to add and confirm 284 transactions that had been sent to the network before it went down. In their report, they claim that the reactivation of Arbitrum has been done safely, to avoid any block reorganization on the chain.
